Privacy
Your source settings stay with your device.
This factual summary describes the current iPadOS and tvOS builds. It is not a substitute for owner review of the legal privacy policy before publication.

Data collection
Own Channels does not collect app data for the developer or a third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or telemetry service. The current App Store privacy disclosure is Data Not Collected.
The app has no Own Channels account and does not operate a developer-hosted content backend.
Information stored on your device
Source configurations, favorites, Continue Watching entries, and playback preferences are stored locally. A source configuration can include a playlist address or body, an Xtream server origin, username, and password.
These values can be sensitive. The interface avoids rendering or logging playlist URLs, credentials, or resolved media URLs.
Network connections
The app connects directly to the sources and media hosts you choose so it can retrieve listings and play media. Those source operators receive the network requests needed to provide their service; their own terms and privacy practices apply.
HTTPS is required by default. A source can explicitly allow cleartext HTTP media or server access. Cleartext traffic is not confidential or tamper-resistant.
Local playlist transfer on Apple TV
When you start Local Upload, the Apple TV temporarily listens on the local network and shows a six-digit one-time code. The listener stops after one successful upload, when you leave the screen, or when the app backgrounds.
The playlist moves directly across your local network to the Apple TV; it is not uploaded to an Own Channels server.
Playback framework
Own Channels includes the open-source VideoLAN VLCKit framework for supported playback routes. The audited build contains no analytics or advertising SDK.
Retention and deletion
Local information remains until it is removed with the app’s available source, favorites, or history controls, cleared by the operating system, or removed when the app is deleted.
Questions
Direct privacy contact details have not yet been published. Do not send playlist addresses, account credentials, playlist bodies, or resolved media URLs in a support request.
